Paper Plane Table

The design of this table is resulted out of the idea to connect two paper planes at their tips. This connection gives the structural solution. The two tails replace typical table legs and hold the desk in longitudinal direction. A third leg, a wood sheet, is added at the connection point for the bracing in the cross section. Moreover it divides the table and gives an off-center to the design which contributes to a more practical proportion. The tabletop results out of the wings of the paper plane and is finished by a wood panel which fills the open parts. To support the design of a folded sheet of paper, the 4mm metal sheets which depict the paper plane are painted white.
